Did you know over 633,000 people in the Greater DC Region are at risk of our experiencing hunger?

Join Greater DC Cares to discuss Nutrition & Food Access in the DC Region. Citizen Academy will be hosting a policy discussion around DC Hunger Solutions' "Healthy Foods, Healthy Communities: An Assessment and Scorecard of Community Food Security in the District of Columbia" report. Kristin Roberts of DC Hunger Solutions will be joining us to give an update on food access & nutrition issues as well as lead a discussion around the issues in the report.

Volunteers are encouraged to read this report ahead of time and can access it here: http://www.dchunger.org/pdf/healthfoodcomm.pdf. This is a new Citizen Academy event that will give a smaller group of volunteers an opportunity to engage with community leaders. Space is limited, so sign up today!
